Anti-Ragging Cell

1. Introduction

At HM College Manjeri, we are dedicated to providing a safe and respectful environment for all students. The Anti-Ragging Cell is committed to eradicating any form of ragging on campus and ensuring strict action against any misconduct. Our goal is to create an inclusive atmosphere where every student feels supported and protected.

2. Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Cell

  • Prevent any form of ragging and misconduct on campus.
  • Educate students on the consequences of ragging and promote mutual respect.
  • Provide support and guidance to students who feel harassed or unsafe.
  • Address and investigate complaints related to ragging swiftly and effectively.

3. Anti-Ragging Policies

  • Zero-Tolerance Policy: HM College Manjeri strictly prohibits any form of ragging, in line with UGC and government guidelines.
  • Disciplinary Actions: Any student found guilty of ragging will face disciplinary actions, which may include suspension, expulsion, or other legal measures.

4. Reporting a Ragging Incident

  • Students can report ragging incidents through the following channels:
    • In-Person: Visit the Anti-Ragging Cell office to speak confidentially with a member.
    • Email: Send details to antiraggingcell@hmcollegemanjeri.edu for confidential assistance.
    • Helpline: Call (123) 456-7890 for immediate help.

Note: All reports will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and timely actions will be taken.

6. Awareness and Support Programs

  • Yearly Awareness Programs: HM College Manjeri conducts a ragging awareness program every year to educate students about the impact and legal consequences of ragging.
  • Campus Posters: Anti-ragging posters are displayed throughout the campus to remind students of the importance of a ragging-free environment and provide information on how to seek help if needed.

7. UGC Anti-Ragging Affidavit

  • All students and parents are required to sign the UGC Anti-Ragging Affidavit at the time of admission to ensure awareness and commitment to maintaining a safe campus environment. This form can be collected from the admissions office or downloaded from the UGC Anti-Ragging Portal.
