The department was established in 2002 and it is old as college. It offers both under graduate & post graduate programme in geography with statistics as subsidiary the department has a good record of academic excellence by achieving ranks in both UG & PG. In 2007, We have secured we have secured 2nd Rank in MA Geography as well as 3rd Rank in UG Geography. In 2008, we have secured 1st Rank and 2nd Rank in M.A Geography and in 2009, secured 3rd Rank in MSC Geography.
The course has latest form of semester examination and internal evaluation, in addition to the submission of dissertation & project by the candidates for the fulfillment of the requirements of the University of Calicut.
